Students, teachers, church leaders from Paradise Valley, Alberta visit Gurdwara Nanak Niwas to learn about SIkhism

A group of about 25 grades 9 to 12 students, their teachers and some church leaders from Paradise Valley, Alberta were in Vancouver recently to do some volunteer work in the community. As part of their visit here they decided to visit Gurdwara Nanak Niwas and a few other places of worship on Richmond’s Highway to Heaven on November 9. In addition to paying their respect at the Gurdwara, they were keen to learn about Sikhism and the South Asian community. The group members asked very interesting questions and were very curious to learn about Sikhism and the South Asian community in BC and Canada. Visits like this by students and adults go a long way in creating more  pride in our community.
