COQUITLAM, BC: The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has identified 25-year old Ramin Salam of Coquitlam as one of the victims of the double homicide reported in Coquitlam.
The shooting on November 23, in the area of Dawes Hill Road and Mundy Street in Coquitlam, left 2 dead and one injured, as per the police report.
Coquitlam RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in Coquitlam. “Upon arrival, officers located two unresponsive men inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was pronounced deceased on scene while another was transported to hospital and later succumbed to their injuries. A third victim was located suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds.”
Investigators have identified one of the victims as 25-year old Ramin Salam of Coquitlam. Efforts are still being made to confirm the identity of the second victim.
“At this time, investigators believe this to be a targeted shooting relating to the ongoing lower mainland gang conflict,” said Sgt. Timothy Pierotti of IHIT.
