On Friday, Rahul Gandhi was disqualified from the Lok Sabha triggering a massive political row.

All opposition parties condemned the decision while the Congress plans to launch a countrywide protest. Arvind Kejriwal, Mamata Banerjee, K Chandrashekar Rao, MK Stalin, Hemant Soren, Sharad Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav, Uddhav Thackeray extended support to Rahul Gandhi. The BJP, on the other hand, said the suspension has been according to the law. “In all these years as an MP he participated in only 21 debates. Rahul Gandhi considers himself above the parliament, the government, the judicial system and the country,” Union minister Anurag Thakur said.
