“This medal captures the hard work and dedication to the communities we serve by members of the Organization across the globe,” said Kal.

Kal founded KidsPlay in 2015 and since then has taken its operations across Canada and internationally in Cartagena, Colombia and Punjab, India.

KidsPlay is organizing three major events, along with the weekly programs run during the week and weekend, being put forward during this holiday season by the Foundation.

A clothing and toy drive in memory of Victor Ghirra on Saturday, Dec 10 at 14431 Knox Way, Richmond.

Then, a forum on Drugs and Gangs on Monday, Dec 12 at Taj Park Convention Centre, Surrey at 6PM. A free event where large scholarships will be distributed to youth in attendance. This event is being hosted by Nausheen Danda, a youth volunteer with the organization and someone who was directly impacted by the horrific incident that took place outside Tamanawis Secondary and took the life of Mehakpreet Sethi. It is more important than ever before to stand with our youth and save them from falling victim to drug abuse, gangs and acts of violence.

Finally, on Saturday, December 17 a Volunteer Appreciation Night at Surrey City Hall where all volunteers who have given back throughout the pandemic and BC Floods will be recognized for their efforts.
