Bilateral Trade Agreements of India and Canada Special Role in Trade and Commerce – – -Consul General of India Manish

Edmonton (Times Bureau) India and Canada are contributing adequately to the economic system of both countries under bilateral trade agreements with each other. There are special opportunities for Canadian companies in India. These words were expressed by Indian Consul General Manish during the first meeting of traders, entrepreneurs and industrialists organized by the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce Alberta chapter at Edmonton. Consul General of India Manish attended the event as the chief guest. Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce Toronto Chairperson Mr. Murari Lal Thalial also appointed Ravi Prakash Singh as Alberta Chapter Chair and Vishal Javari as Co-Chair on this occasion. Congratulating the event, Consul General Manish said that India and Canada are taking special steps with each other in terms of trade and while India is providing full support to Canada in its need for skilled workers, similarly to Canadian entrepreneurs and businessmen in India. Full support is also being given. By investing they are contributing to the progress and development of India. More than 300 traders, entrepreneurs, traders, industrialists, heads of financial institutions, government officials and political personalities were present at this special event of the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce. On this occasion, besides Rajan Sahni, Minister of Advanced Education of Alberta Government, Mayor of Edmonton Amarjit Mohi, Mayor of Sherwood Park and Mayor of Saskatchewan, MLA Jasveer Deol from Meadows Constituency, MLA Christina Grey from Millwoods Riding ,MLA Rakhi Pancholi from White Mud, MLA I. P. Noban, MLA Jodi Calahu Stonehouse , Constituency Edmonton Rutherford, Calgary MLA Parmeet Singh Boparai and other dignitaries were present. On this occasion, Consul General Manish shared detailed information about the current status of Canada-India and Alberta-India bilateral economic relations and gave a presentation with statistics. Statistics of progress and success of both the countries were also presented. Consul General Manish highlighted the positive growth trend in the Indian economy and informed about various schemes underway for business in India including Make in India, Production Linked Investment Prime Minister Gati Shakti and National Infrastructure Pipeline. On this occasion, the Consul General invited Canadian businessmen to consider fruitful partnerships with Indian companies to do business in India so that the development of both countries will increase and the companies will receive FDI. In this event, four prominent personalities of the city were honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, including Mr. Radhe Sham Gupta, Jitinder Shah, Dr. Prem Singhmar and Joe Sunnar. The event was attended by Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce Toronto president Murarilal Thapliyal , prominent businessmen, traders and entrepreneurs of the city.
